A Geographic is a study of passion and compulsion. It is an exploration of myth making, questioning what drives us forward and away from stability. An abstract, emotionally charged journey exploring the life of Leo senior (Leo’s Grandfather) an Eastern European immigrant, a merchant sailor, a free spirit, an addict and journeyman. A myth.
A Geographic breaks down barriers that separate expressive forms: telling the tale through a playful use of live music, text and an explosive physicality, fusing the control and playfulness found in Capoeira and body popping with his experiential knowledge of physical theatre and passion for physical, vocal and visual experimentation.
