Jefferson has been chosen by Mae lara, a Candomblé priestess, to attend her during celebrations that recognise her fourteen years leading the temple as the Mãe De Santos. Jefferson will care for her whilst she is involved in the ceremonies for Oxum, the goddess of the rivers and the deity that looks after her.
